Bird Out, Doge In: Elon Musk Changes The Twitter Logo After Dogecoin Lawsuit Dismissal

Frame 81 (19)

Elon Musk is once again making headlines by suddenly changing the Twitter logo from the iconic blue bird to the Doge meme. The Doge meme was a part of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency and blockchain, which was created back in 2013 and was a hilarious mem back in the day.

CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, announced this change with a tweet showing the famous Shibu Inu dog showing his driving license to the police. The license had the old Twitter logo, where he is saying, “That’s an old photo.”

After his announcement, it took Twitter by storm, and hundreds of memes started to come, which shows that this change was well received by the audience.

The announcement came a few days after Elon “appealed to a US judge to dismiss a $258 billion racketeering lawsuit accusing him of operating a pyramid scheme to support the cryptocurrency Dogecoin.”

Musk’s investors accused him of intentionally pushing the price of Dogecoin over 36,000 percent for two years and then intentionally allowing it to crash. Against these allegations, Musk’s lawyers said, “the investors never explained how Elon Musk intended to defraud anyone or what risks he veiled.”

Elon also gave out a statement saying, “Dogecoin Rulz and no highs, no lows, only Doge,” which, according to the lawyers, were way too vague to be considered a fraud claim. But ever since Dogecoin’s price rose by 20 percent, Musk used their mascot as the lnew logo for Twitter as of Monday.
